CDA was formed in 1987 by representatives from various messenger and courier companies who saw the need for a central organization that would address the issues and challenges that are common to us all. By choosing "co-opetition" over competition, CDA furthers the common interests of the member companies while raising the professionalism of the group as a whole.

The California Moving and Storage Association is a non-profit trade association representing over 450 licensed and insured movers operating in California. The CMSA also includes more than 140 associate member companies. Established in 1916, the CMSA is comprised of 12 Chapters strategically located throughout California.

Messenger and Courier Association of America (MCAA)
The Messenger Courier Association of America is a non-profit industry association of, by, and for the messenger courier industry. Since 1987, the MCAA has worked to promote and advance the common interests of those engaged in the messenger courier industry throughout the United States and abroad. The association hosts an industry-wide annual convention in May and an association meeting in the fall. The MCAA's Courier College presents webinars featuring speakers on topics relevant to the industry. The MCAA also publishes the Messenger Courier World Magazine, a quarterly magazine containing timely news, columns and feature articles essential to industry executives and purchasing decision-makers.
