HAROLD BOYETT

President, Blue Streak Couriers
Jacksonville, FL

Harold Boyett is President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Streak Couriers. Harold began his career in transportation at the age of 18, working part-time at UPS while attending college. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelor's degree in management and marketing. While working full-time at UPS, Harold went on to obtain his master's degree in business administration from UNF. His 20 year career encompassed operational and business development responsibilities. Harold left UPS in 2005 to purchase Blue Streak. The company has grown and expanded under his leadership and operates throughout the state of Florida. Blue Streak is a member of the Messenger Courier Association of the Americas, The Express Carriers Association, and of course, the Florida Messenger Association. Blue Streak supports several charities including Dreams Come True and the American Heart Association.

TIM L. PETTY

Founder and CEO, Pettyco Express
Jacksonville, FL

Tim founded Pettco Express in Sept of 1988. Pettyco grew rapidly from a start up company to its current 22 door facility capable of facilitating a single envelope, up to 45,000 lbs. Tim joined the MCAA over 12 years ago and has actively participated in many association events. Tim is presently serving his 2nd year as President of the Transportation Club of Jacksonville. He has also served as President of the Northside Business Leaders and was voted member of the year 2 years in a row. Pettyco is actively involved in the Neighborhood I.D. program identifying all addresses for businesses and residents with 4" numbers. His passion for over 18 years has been teaching the college and career class at his church, where he also serves as a Trustee. In Tim's words, "This is the best and most challenging business around, I love the new technology provided to our industry and look forward to growing the FMA to a much higher level."

ROSE THOMASHOW

President, Express Messenger Service
Boca Raton, FL

Born in New York City, Rose graduated Queens College with a Master of Science in Environmental Education. Rose worked in New York City as a science teacher before joining Express Messenger Service in Southeast Florida. Rose took charge of Express Messenger in 2000 and worked diligently to expand and increase the company. Under Rose's guidance, Express went from a small local messenger service to a multifaceted corporation open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, specializing in on demand deliveries, logistics, and warehousing. Express is a member of the ECA, MCAA, Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. Express Messenger is currently involved in an effort and vision with the goal of "greening" our industry.

STEVE HOWARD

President, Esquire Express
Miami, FL

Born in Buffalo NY, Steve spent 4 years in the US Army and attended Florida State University. He moved to Miami, Fl. in 1990 and started Esquire Express, Inc. a courier service/process serving firm founded in 1990. In 2000 Steve founded Esquire Logistics, a last mile delivery company providing warehousing and distribution throughout South Florida. Esquire has been a member of the MCAA for eight years and was recently elected to serve on the board of directors. Esquire is also a member of Legal Net, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and the young founder's board of Mt. Sinai Hospital. Steve is a Boy Scout leader and also volunteers as soft ball coach for his two daughters.

DARYL COOK

Managing Partner & COO, Sonic Systems, Inc.
Tampa, FL

Daryl Cook has over 30 years experience in the transportation and logistics industry. Beginning his career with Airborne Express, he held ever increasing positions of responsibility. As Director of Area Operations in New York, NY, his responsibilities included multiple delivery centers throughout the city, aircraft operations at the JFK airport and a regional customer service center. As Senior Director of Operations and Sales for the Airborne Express subsidiary, Airborne Freight Forwarding Corporation, he managed a multifaceted transportation and logistics operation which provided domestic and international air courier services (Sky Courier), ground delivery and courier services in 17 major metropolitan areas, time critical parts warehouse operations in over 100 locations in the US, a fulfillment center in Los Angeles which served the Motion Picture industry and custom designed logistics solutions. Additional positions include Vice President of Business Development, Sky Consultants, Vice President of Sales and Operations Liffey Logistics and currently managing partner and Chief Operating Officer for Sonic Systems, Inc. Sonic Systems has provided on demand, dedicated and route delivery services to business in central Florida for over 30 years and is a founding member of the Messenger Courier Association of the Americas (MCAA).

Board Member

THOMAS JOWERS

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Advantage Delivery & Logistics
Tampa, Florida

Thomas began his career in logistics in 1994 serving as a service facilitator at U.S. Delivery (later purchased by Corporate Express Delivery Systems) in Houston, TX. Shortly thereafter he became the director of Logistics for a small company known as Dedicated Services, Inc (DSI). After DSI was purchased by Noble International from Detroit, Michigan Thomas stayed on as Director of Logistics for what became Noble Logistic Services where he developed and managed regional delivery systems all over the country, including the development of a distribution network for both Toyota and Ford.

In July of 2003, Thomas ventured into a partnership with Advantage Delivery & Logistics (ADL) headquartered in Tampa, FL where he currently serves as the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. In addition to having developed the current corporate infrastructure, Thomas aided the firm in nearly tripling its business while expanding its coverage into 6 new states.

Placing a strong emphasis on the importance of creating strategic partnerships with customers and other from carriers around the country, Thomas has spent the last few years helping to develop vendor relations that ensure strong participation and a solid membership for the Florida Messenger Association. He currently serves as the Meeting Committee Chair for the FMA and has been nominated for the board of the MCAA and the Texas Courier & Logistics Association.
Thomas served in the Army prior to beginning his career in Logistics. He has been married for 11 years and has 4 children. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his Harley and spending as much time as possible with his family.

TONI POMPA

President & CIO, Tri-County Courier
Fort Lauderdale, FL

Toni Pompa, President and CIO of TriCounty Courier, Inc. was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but spent a lot of her childhood years in Jamaica. After attending University of Miami, majoring in Marketing and Information Systems, she worked in Information Technology for over 20 years while assisting her husband, Andre Stewart with growing the business. After taking a good look at the potential in the South Florida market, she elected to fully focus on TriCounty Courier, Inc. and has made great strides in branding the name, expanding the areas of service, implementing a digital footprint within the company and embodying its motto of “Delivering more, delivering fast, delivering customer service…” Working around the clock to ensure that the business becomes a formidable force to reckon with in the Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach county areas of South Florida, TriCounty Courier, Inc. is a member of The Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce, Florida Messenger Association, MCAA and The Better Business Bureau. Toni is also the Mother of three lovely, daughters, plays tennis, and practices yoga and still actively supports clients in the IT industry as well.

LARRY SCHWARTZ

President, Baron Messenger Service

Larry Schwartz is President and co-founder of Baron Messenger Service established in 1981. Baron acquired Choice Courier Systems of South Florida in 2000 and Sunshine State Messenger Service in 2004. Larry is the Immediate Past President of the Florida Messenger Association, was a past board member of the MCAA and also serves on the Advisory Board for Courier Magazine. Baron is a longtime member of the MCAA and ECA and Larry attends all national industry conferences. Baron specializes in on-demand deliveries and is open 24/7 365 days a year with a focus in medical, last mile NFO deliveries and critical parts logistics. Larry is thrilled to be in this business ... but when he's not at work, he enjoys fishing and diving with his family at his weekend home in the Florida Keys.
